Coconut dog food tastes better
Welcome to the coconut side. Perhaps the biggest part of this new flavour is not the design but the functions that come with it. The most noticeable is the community side of Diary of a website. I feel that it’s about time Diary of a website stretched it’s legs a bit and to create this I am going to use the forum and 2 flickr groups, webspirationickr (webspiration @ flickr) and colourspiration (colourspiration @ flickr) – let nobody say I can’t make up odd names.
Merry christmas here is a coconut
As of a short while ago Diary of a website has received it’s early Christmas pressie of a new flavour in the form of coconut. I just couldn’t hold off putting it up anymore so please bare with me while some of the links are set up over the next week and it’s all pulled together. Once I have completed all the new parts and made them live I will be updating the site with a proper Coconut annoucement.
Gone nutty
After eating my own dog food, the new design for Diary of a website has been something I’ve been playing with. I am pretty much there on the final design now, bar a waking up tomorrow morning and hating it ;). I thought as usual I would put a post of the candidate up for you all.
Ooooo I wrote those
There was I pottering about Colour Lovers news, a regular drop in site for me being the colour obsessive I am… what should I see but 2 of my posts. Nothing like finding your work posted on a site you love to bring a smile to your face at the end of the day.
I ate my own dog food and it was not so tasty
Over at Wisdump, Scrivs encouraged us a while ago to ‘eat your own dog food’ in the sense of using your site and seeing what it’s like. As many of you will have seen it’s been one of those insane months for me, not a bad thing (nope this isn’t a toooo busy to post post), however during this time I’ve also been eating some of my own dog food. No, we didn’t run out and decide puppy chow was the best option. Whilst doing the dog food test (I think that’s a great way to call it), I discovered one glaringly obvious thing. I actually don’t like this version of Diary of a website.
Chocolate raspberry
Diary of a website has come over all chocolatey for this season’s flavour. Welcome to chocolate raspberry (and yes you can get coffee flavoured by chocolate and raspberry). I feel it’s rather autumnal and I am definitely being inspired by that this season. One interesting thing I am noting is the way each season’s flavour really is inspired by the weather and environment around me. I find this interesting from a designer perspective and see it in the format and the colours.
