9rules round V

Yes, it’s that time again. 9rules is opening up it’s doors to new members for round V on October 25th. I can’t shout enough about the greatness I’ve got from being a member both from the people I’ve met through it and the experience itself. It really has made me step up to the plate more and that can only be a good thing. I would encourage anyone to give it a go and even to try again (it took 2 attempts to get in for this blog and the first rejection only served to make me more determined). While much blog polishing goes on take time to enter the guess the number of entries game on 9rules and see if you win the mystery prize.

Design Observer logo

I fully admit to being a paid up member of the simple club with regards to what I like in design. In my book you can’t beat a simple but elegant design solution be that minimal or not. The Design Observer logo is just one example of this in logo format. I personally love the logo’s colour combinations and simple type. It is a great example of branding and clarity and allows the message to come across without clutter or pointless frills.

Webspiration

I have always included links to things online that inspire me or just generally interest me. With the recent launch of this new flavour I also now want to create a section just for this type of posts. This in mind I am annoucing the introduction of webspiration. Webspiration is going to be a place where I will post about anything from logos, interface design, websites design and anything else designed online.
