Webspiration sunday

I know I was a bit amiss last week but I’m slowly getting over the hospital treatment and getting back in the game. I still have to find out what the infection did in the long term (and the small matter of getting rid of it as I still have it apparently) but things are slowly getting back to normal. Anyway, back to webspiration….

Webspiration of the week

Before I do the webspiration for this week I’d like to announce I’ve started a more personal blog in the form of a tumblr, it’s going to be integrated into this blog more at some point but for now you can visit through clicking karmatosed. I am going to be reworking some of the categories over here and this seems a really good way to take what was being done in espresso but keep this blog for main posts. I love the format of tumblr and will be writing more about it in the next few weeks.

Webspiration of the week

Wow it’s been way too long since I did some webspiration, but it’s now coming back. I’ve been lucky enough to get a beta invite to skitch thanks to Lisa and it’s proving a great method of webspiration uploading. As a result I’m going to do a weekly summary post of webspiration of the week. To recap, webspiration is basically anything from a logo to a website and all the web elements inbetween. It could be a great navigation bar, a lovely form … you get the idea. So, there we have it webspiration is back and there are more plans for it with the next version of diary of a website where I really want to work to build up an archive of webspiration and colourspiration. There is still the flickr group you can join and colourspiration is going to also be making a comeback soon once webspiration is brought back into line.

Frooition form

Part of what keeps me interested in design is the attention to small details that gives things a lift. I really like the little features you can add that take things to another level. One of the historically yawnsomest areas of website design has been forms. Whilst with css and other things there are always ways to cheer up forms, it’s still often a last minute thought. Not in the case of Frooition and their register interest form.

Propoganda Games

There is something to be said for a simple but effective logo, in my case a fair bit can be said as I love them. I have found a lot of these lately and this one from Propaganda Games really sums up a good example.

On logo pond there is a great subtle logo for Suvorov luxury clothes.
