About

Diary of a website is a blog in 2 flavours. Full Roast covers the web and design from the perspective of someone who works in the industry. House blend covers both online and off line commentary and anything else apart from what my dog’s had for dinner.

Started more years ago than cared to be remembered, Diary of a website has seen many changes to come to the version you are now viewing. Currently the theme is in aid of Pink for October, which is an annual event where sites go pink for October.

Who writes Diary of a website?

Diary of a website is authored by me, Tammie Lister. I am a web designer based in the UK. Along with this blog you can find me blogging at a few other places.

woofbarkwag : a blog about dogs and living with the waggy ones.
espresso tumblr : random mind dumps and snippets in tumblr form.

    Hello!
My name is Evan Owen. I think you coded the “Product” wordpress/buddypress theme I’m using. I am in the need of some assistance making some changes to the theme of which I’m hoping you can assist. They include:

1.) Integrate or replace existing login (bottom right) with WP-FB-Autoconnect Plugin and add a new login location in header in between the logo and search box. We may need to make the search box a little smaller.
2.) Create (or where is) a site registration page and link? I’m somewhat of a newbie to BP…
3.) Based on the answer to #2 create a register link in the buddypress navigation menu and login areas.
3.) I may have an issue with Slide 1 not sizing to the image loading. What happens when you load the website for the first time?

I may have some other changes/fixes as the project moves forward as well. Thanks in advance for your time and consideration.

    Regards,
    Evan

@Evan: I am afraid I only do work through WPMU DEV regarding the Product theme so would suggest you post the issues you may be having there rather than my personal blog. I will be more than happy to help you there should you require it. Alternatively there are a lot of great developers you can post a job for over at WPMU DEV and get the work done should you also wish that.
