I’m going to start linking to things that pop in my feed reader the past week that grabbed my attention. I use the star feature on google reader which acts like a scrap book for me. I use my del.icio.us account a lot but for feeds I tend to keep them stored for reference later and so you won’t be finding these in that feed, so I thought I’d create a once a week summary post to deliver that to you. Often I end up writing posts and many will get brewed up more, but for now lets bring on some links.

  • Base camp tips and tricks from Adaptive Path. I’m an avid user of base camp and will be trying some of these out.
  • 37 signals looks at the user of personas in development. With my love of psychology I like the methodology that uses personas for development. This is an interesting take on not using it though and using yourself. Whilst I don’t agree with it fully, it does bring up some interesting anti-persona thoughts and drives home the fact that in the end you should be the persona and develop your judgment.
  • Apple patenting multi touch gestures. It seems touching your interface is going to stay with us and personally I love it with the iPhone. I’m really intrigued as to the potential of multi touch gesturing on devices.
  • Vitamin takes a look at how to ensure your html emails work and look good. With the restrictions from Outlook 2007 Vitamin takes a look back and changes some advice to do with emails. This really is an article full of good information and has some interesting advise on best practices and spam avoidance thrown in with some great design notes.
