Today I turn 32 and another year seems to have whizzed past. I always got told the older you got the quicker the years seem to pass and this year has really flown by. I’ve done so much business wise and been through a fair chunk personal wise. I really feel I’ve turned a corner a bit in many areas of my life.
Birthdays are a time for celebration of course, for me I like to take them nice and quietly. I’m not big into parties and so on and usually opt for the indulgence option. Taking time for myself on that day. Last night I had my birthday night (a bit early but whose counting). I watched ‘Saw III’ (it’s a slasher movie and great photography but ends at about that) and ‘The Toyko Godfathers’ (an anime I’d never heard about but found in the rental store, beautifully done with an odd slower story that tackled some things I’ve not seen in many anime – homosexuality and homelessness, I can recommend it). This was coupled with a chinese take away of my usual lemon chicken (I think I’m obsessed with it).
I’ve got a lot to be thankful for this year. The 30s are a damn fine age in my opinion. Dillon has been with us a year. I’ve been lucky enough to do some great projects work wise and thing are going so well at home. So yay for another year old this getting older stuff can be good.
I just turned 22 yesterday… got a nice break from work and did a lot of fun birthday stuff with my fiancée. Seems like I’m always 10 years minus a day behind you… I wonder how long that is going to last.
Well unless you get a time machine ;) 22 is a good age – enjoy it the 20s are fun.
