I know I was a bit amiss last week but I’m slowly getting over the hospital treatment and getting back in the game. I still have to find out what the infection did in the long term (and the small matter of getting rid of it as I still have it apparently) but things are slowly getting back to normal. Anyway, back to webspiration….
This week we’ve got a logo and website. I’ve found this week to be like most summer weeks online, there is something about a slow down during summer. I’ve really noticed this summer’s slow down with not being able to go anywhere outside after the operation – I am so looking forward to when I can go for a walk again with the doggies and don’t have to look out of the window at the world. Something very obvious about the tumbleweed when you’re the only one chasing it. That aside I did find 2 gems online this week I want to share.

I really like the simple but sophisticated nature of this site. As we all know doing the less is more often takes a whole lot more skill than chucking the kitchen sink at a website. I really like the user friendly ‘hello’ for a navigation link.

I doodle in spirals and this reminds me of those. I love the colour combination – a very different but fresh muted approach. Perhaps the font could be in bold to have more of an impact but the balance is pretty much there.
Well, that is webspiration. I would like to also give a shout out to Edrei over at Footsteps in the mirror who is doing the blogathon – it’s a great cause and something to get behind. Boggles my mind how someone can remain sane blogging for 24hrs so all the best to him. I’d also like to give a mention to Cas who is doing the Race for life. If you’ve got any spare change both causes are worthy of supporting.
