Design roundup: 25th March
Design roundup: 18th March
Like last week, I’m continuing my weekly design round up with quotes, 9rules design community round up and thoughts that came up this week. This week has been odd for me with the over riding muttering that not being able to get to any web conferences this year is making me each time one comes around. Like the past 2 years I’m vowing to get to one next year, you never know it may happen one year… Actually, the coverage that you get online is great and whilst it’s not like being there I don’t have to get jet lag. So, without more muttering here is my weekly round up.
9rules blog club: Music
9rules blog club continues with a look at the music community, you can read what others have posted here. I’ve interviewed Volkher Hofmann and Richard Dunlop-Walters who are the community leaders for the community.

I would first like to apologise if the espresso posts threw a few people. I was asked by more than one person if it was ’spam’ or a mistake. I think in light of this espresso is going to not be just a quote and I will be expanding a bit more or linking to things in that as a shot rather than a simple quote. I am sorry if anyone got a bit ‘eh?’ about those. In light of this I’m bringing back my weekly summaries on this blog from around the web. Here I will be putting those quotes I found that interested me and other bits I’ve found. This is I think going to be a better way to not confuse and deal with.
Expression Engine redesigned
Expression Engine and more specifically EllisLab has redesigned. This is a well thought out redesign which keep consistency but allows the 4 sites in the network to have their own identity. I really like the way it’s the form and style that is kept but really the colours and smaller parts that changes to create this consistency. Great job and really shows how flexible Expression Engine really is. It’s not something I’ve played much with but seeing this is certainly tempting. I’m thinking of ways to show the many sides of my own business this year and this is a great example to show how well you can do it.
