Rodent M1

My office today took on a new business venture - as of today a brand new rodent motor-way seems to have been opened. I am considering on charging them a toll. The house we live in has been making ‘rodent’s inside’ noises pretty much since we moved here and being that both an old listed building and being in the countryside, we do expect some rodent ventures.

You really would have to be bored

Ok, so the title is ‘bored at home’ and my only thought is…. nope never been that bored.

Stop showing me christmas adverts or rudolph dies

It happens every year. It makes me cross every year. Every year I forget about it after the new one comes in and the suddenly early November BANG! it’s back again. As if the endless stream of singing santas wasn’t enough, this year they’ve decided to whack some tacky 40s overtures and make us all glamorous and luxurious - oh joy. Yes, it’s the season to cringe and give up life due to the onslaught of festive cheery advertising.

Colour = emotion

Often we are unaware of the power of colour, it’s so common we have become desensitised on a conscious level to it. While I was watching ‘Natural Born Killers’ tonight, it brought home to me how colour is really powerful in creating, enhancing and influencing emotions. Many films use colour as a cinematic effect, this film though does it in what I personally think is about the peak of colour and emotion art.

Doing what it says on the tin

It’s a phrase I like and it’s a sort of mini motto for me really. Unfortunately it’s not one always adhered to when creating websites. There are many sites that simply don’t adhere to this though. It can be through what functions there are, through the design or through even their concept itself.

Coffee review : creamy pleasure

I always have meant to get a good coffee maker but after a run of buying cheap ones due to funds lacking gave up and for a while have been trying out various instant coffee types. I still dream of a few great coffee making machines that are on my list but when things stop breaking that are more crucial than a coffee maker I will purchase (yes there are some more basic needs than coffee I hate to admit it and they keep blooming well breaking). As part of this in the growing market I find myself often trying new and varying methods of instant coffees. None as yet have got up to the real coffee through a good maker, but until I get enough to get one I will be opting for this method.
