Uk gets blogging
On this coming tuesday there is an attempt at the biggest blog as people are invite to join in an attempt to mass blog capture this ordinary day for history. It’s an interesting idea and points to the mainstream nature of blogging.
Call to emoticon
I’ve decided we need some universally accepted emoticon for sarcasm, maybe even some big internet alarm for it too. How about the net spots it and types it all in say bright flashing ‘this is sarcasm’ red? Ok, maybe I am getting a bit carried away but it’s getting to the point you can’t be a piss taking so and so anymore without someone picking you up on it. It’s not just me, the rash of wrongly accused sarcasm lovers is net wide. You may shout “it’s the lowest form of wit” but I can’t hear you because I’m singing in my head (insert emoticon here).
Trust yourself
Time for a friday design quiz. Look at these questions and answer straight away, don’t think just say yes or no.
Karma slugs
Since a kid I’ve always had one idea they gets me through the harder times and that is the karma slug. The next time you feel someone does you wrong don’t get angry or seek some skewed justice, just think that this person will if karma exists come back as a slug. Obviously being a slug possibly isn’t the worst thing in the world. I am not saying slugs are the lowest being. As a kid though I remember salt and slugs and the rather negative effect it has on them. So in my mind karma slugs does involve salt and slugs I am afraid. The world of karma slugs isn’t fair but it really does get you through those tough times, well it always works for me.
Blog Club : Business
Business is something pretty close to my heart considering I run my own. Freelance is always the lower end of business of course, I don’t have the nightmares that are staff and so on (part of the reason I like it rather than being a manager). 9rules has a great business community if you are looking for a range of business blogs and information. This week in the business community I noted a couple of entries that really got me wanting to respond.
Happy birthday diary of a website
Today is the first anniversary of this form of diary of a website. It’s been around a fair few years longer in various other forms, but last October it was put onto this format. To say it’s been an insane year really would be an underestimate. This blog has grown so much and it’s been such fun doing it. There have been flavours a plenty, some are still here and others are slowly being moved over. I joined 9rules in the last round which really added to the head spinning of this year for me. Joining 9rules has possibly been one of the best things I’ve done in a long time and continues to give me pride, pleasure and much bouncyness.
