Today is the first anniversary of this form of diary of a website. It’s been around a fair few years longer in various other forms, but last October it was put onto this format. To say it’s been an insane year really would be an underestimate. This blog has grown so much and it’s been such fun doing it. There have been flavours a plenty, some are still here and others are slowly being moved over. I joined 9rules in the last round which really added to the head spinning of this year for me. Joining 9rules has possibly been one of the best things I’ve done in a long time and continues to give me pride, pleasure and much bouncyness.
I want to take this time to thank everyone that has ever posted a comment, click a link or read a feed from diary of a website. Without the readers I’d just be the dog mad web designer talking to myself, don’t ever think you aren’t valued each and every one of you. I’ve been thrilled by the reception of every flavour of this blog and the support of so many over this year. If you’ve never commented I also invite you to post a comment and start joining in as I’ve got much more planned for this year.
This last year was a big one for me personally. Last time this year I was working for someone else and not overly happy about so many things. Since then I have taken the plunge into freelance and not looked back whilst my happy-o-meter has hit an all time woot. Without the support of my husband and many others this would never have happened, thanks all of you. This might be a corny thanks post, but sometimes you just have to take stock and thank people that have got you where you are. I never imagined all that has happened would have in this year.
The next year for this blog is going to be even more important I think. I am continuing to develop and grow it with a new flavour due out for November – think chocolate. I’ve seen so much change online over this last year and happily grown myself as a designer due to being able to choose my own path now. I am committed to this year building on what there is here and making it even better to be around. That’s about it really. Thanks to everyone and at this time if there is anything you’d love to see on this blog please drop me a comment here and I will think about including new things in the next flavour or few months. It’s been one heck (insert straw in mouth and chew whilst grinning) of a year and I never could have imagined what would happen, thanks.
