Woofbarkwag

The Logical Binary team is about to gain a new fluffy employee with the introduction of a new puppy to our family. I have already seemed to gain a nice reputation for being the mad dog woman of web design and with the introduction of the new puppy I plan to make this official by starting woofbarkwag. Woofbarkwag is going to be a blog focusing on the life of a puppy, dog training, living, all things paw, tail and barking related.

Getting another dog has been something we’ve considered for a while and most people that know us know we are the dog mad couple. Barley our current dog was even set up for giving us some puppy power, but she had a bad hip score (this is basically a test that scores problems and issues and means it’s not advised to breed if the dog has a bad one). It was a shame, but we figured it was meant to be – well that was until her half sister’s litter came onto the scene. The puppy is going to be a labrador like Barley but a black not red one. After a visit that was aimed at seeing not producing a new pack member, we did what most of our friends assumed we would and took the plunge. This is our first not second hand dog and first puppy , but I always grown up with all ages of dogs including poopeys.

One thing that I have always found with dogs is that some love them, some hate them and others don’t have an opinion. It’s one of those personal things when it comes to your dog. I never wanted Diary of a website to be a personal site and knowing me having a new puppy in my life is going to be something I will want to blog about. A little known fact about me is that I did study animal psychology for a while and this has given me a huge interest that has followed through my life. I have always wanted to create a space online which is a blog and also an information source about dogs. Every dog we have teaches me so much more about them as a species and with each one I grow more and more the mad dog woman. If I was to list my interest then dog’s would be up there as one of the offline ones I have.

The new addition is a trigger but not the entire thing about woofbarkwag. I plan on covering the lifes of both our dogs (it’s another thing I meant to do with Barley but until making the break to freelance just didn’t have the time) along with things about behaviour, training and anything else that falls into the ‘doggy’ category. I want to possibly create a forum or way people can also link up and get help and advice from other dog owners. One of the main things that I do not want to do is the ‘cute’ doggy side. I have very set ideas that have been formed by my dog’s and also by some people I’ve been fortunate to meet – a great deal has come from my husband as he’s a natural dog leader. My entire life has been marked by dogs and for me woofbarkwag is a natural progression.

It seems only right with the introduction of my website diaries that woofbarkwag gets a section and as it’s not even designed yet this pretty much will be a from scratch charting. I’ve got as far as the domain and a holding page for the project if you fancy checking it out at woofbarkwag.

  1. To say you have been excited in thinking about getting a puppy would be an understatement :)

Look forward to the new website.

A puppy is always exciting – owning a dog in general is pretty great. It’s a great responsibility too – once you get the nuts and bolts sorted I think anyone would be bouncy as a puppy about the event. I reserve the right to bouncing for at least 3 months possibly 6 ;)

I have to tell you I have had animals in my life from a very young age. I am now 52 and still have two cats and a dog (Border Collie). I cannot imagine not having animals in my life. I am happy for you as well. They give us so much. They only love, they don’t hate. When we neglect them they don’t hold it against us. They seem to forget so quickly. For me, they make my day every day. I am happy for you!
