Blog club

There is a new club in town (well 9rules town) and I am announcing it here. Blog club has a few simple rules and basically involves 9rules members posting about other communities. Every two weeks a different community will be picked and then during the second week from the Sunday to the Wednesday the blog club participants will write a post about blog club. Anyone who participates will get a mention here on Friday.

This is the first blog club, so for me if only I partcipate it doesn’t matter greatly. i’ve had a fair few interested so hope to see some more blog club posts about. This time it’s the Anime community being featured in blog club. I have yet to decide what my post is going to be, but it will be appearing either tomorrow or Wednesday (depends when I get out of the pile of code I’ve been living in for a few weeks). There are no rules really for blog club, just that you post about the blogs in that community. What the post is will be entirely up to the blogger and the only rule on that is that it has come from that communtiy. The hope is that through this non-community members will start to discover communities in 9rules they haven’t before.

At this point I am going to go over the 9rules communtiies a little. If you have a look at the list you will see there is about everything you could possibly ever want to read about. The site at 9rules has developed to make the most of the communtiies. Every community is like a group within 9rules where featured blogs happen and the members link up to do joint community things. Blog club sees 9rules members in different communities (some are in multiple ones – like Diary of a website is in design and commentary) and blog club sees for one post only focusing on other 9rules members in different communtities. The communities being looked at are starting with Anime and going through the list as it appears on 9rules.
