I am a fully paid up member of the cookie club. I love cookies, their doughy sweetness always leaves me wanting more. Everyone has their favourite, for me it is the raisin and oatmeal ones with that subtle hint of cinnamon (not too much as to put your tastebuds on red alert, but enough to give you that hmmm sensation). You might have just gathered my cookie monster leanings run deeper than a triple chocolate extra squigy dough delight cookie.
There is something about a cookie that for me beats the usual chocolate gap filling or the warm glow of other snacks. Cookies are a great talking point too, many a dull conversation can be brightened with a debate on "to raisin or not" or "how many chocolate chips is too much". Cookies unite people in a doughy warm love. Cookies should be nominated for a nobel peace prize for their contribution to the harmony of the world. That being said, the cookie can be controversial and a point of serious contention. Some like them squidgy, some like it crisp, some like it with chocolate, some like it cold, some like it hot (enter the film reference). With this in mind maybe cookies are infact the cause for more wars than religion. Could cookies infact by the mystical weapons of mass destruction?
There are some that stray from the cookie path and fall into other snack based products. Their are also those cookie clones claiming to be biscuits but using the cookie name in vein. I call cookie lovers all over the world to unite in shaming and naming these cookie pretenders.
