Only one?

Right that is it, obviously I am abnormal for more than the usual reasons. I have been looking a lot at forums during my purchase of my new powerbook (which I have just ordered finally and am now beginning a stake out of the delivery depo), as a result of course the usual threads of what powerbook to buy have been a common read. One common theme seems to be the 15 and 17 inch argument – see men size does matter apparently. Now, is it only me that has no problem doing web design or development on a 15 inch screen? Whether my design skills are successful we will leave aside (my ego is fragile enough after the week I’ve had). But, it has always been a bit of a myth to me this you need a 17 laptop.

For one I have tried using this laptop and with a screen that size the words lap and top do not belong. Along with that my vaio was a 15 and 4 snitchy and never gave me a moment of designing trouble. Maybe it is just me. Yes, a desktop at that size is needed and infact my desktop of preference would be the 20 inch but price often resorts me to a 17 which works fine. It probably is just me but the whole point of a laptop is to be mobile and that is not a mobile machine for me really. I have enough bad luck with laptops without getting a monster that is destined to either hit something, fall off my lap because it is so big or in a late night wifi moment slip out of my hands as it is so huge. Nope, it is a 15 and portability because afterall that is the whole point of a laptop. Now, if I can only sell a non vital organ I can get a 20 inch cinema display…..
