Mad mad blogging world

I often wander why some people do what they do in their blogs. Recently, I have begun to extend this to the fighting that seems rife amongst the blogging networks. Blogging networks are there good or evil, but they all seem intent on self distruction through fighting each other. Is it just me who feels like uttering enough how about we all just play nicely. I like reading blogs, I like blog networks for their access to content (some more than others). What I do not like is the fact that over the past month every other blog and every other post on a blog network has been to trash some other blogger or network. I am not an avid sports fan and therefore maybe do not understand the team spirit other team hating thing that breeds amongst sports teams. I do question how valid this really is in the blogging world, life is complicated enough without spewing this type of thing onto my eyes. Yes, I can of course vote with my mouse – these though were valid blogs before now turned stupid.

Of course having an opinion is valid, but simply venting onto someone just because they are whatever is called ism something. Do not get me wrong here, I am hardly a hippy love bead clan member. Venting on your blog is not wrong – if it was I would be one of the first to be condemned. Venting all over another just because they are in a different network and probably either for business or promotion reasons is just being a corporation and not doing anything for your members. I am just glad it appears to be a minority around a few previously key people and that many are rising above this playground brawl.

I have seen a lot also about the death of blogging networks too lately. With all this verbal fighting I have no doubt and possibly it is a viscious circle as those failing self combust in a cloud full of other loathing. It is one misguided survival technique. I am of course, lumping bloggers with blogging networks due to fact that some of the worst practicers of this type of poo throwing are infact the blog network members. Seriously though, I have now stopped reading several blogs just because of this torrent of anti-user self proclaiming fighting. I am also sure I am not the only one. I have to draw on the hope that eventually those practicing such low measures will go back up their own bums and leave my RSS reader alone to more interesting matters.
